Back Zoo Nature Bedding is extracted from the bark of the coconut and is a very ecological ground cover. It is 100% natural, biodegradable and therefore good for the environment.

Birds generally need a good humidity level of around 50%-60% or higher. In many households the humidity (especially in winter) is not much higher than 30%. By choosing Back Zoo Nature Bedding as ground cover, and humidifying it, the humidity level is significantly increased.

Also, Back Zoo Nature Bedding has the added advantage that birds and rodents can dig in it without the ground cover ending up next to the cage. It is a lot more compact than sand or beech chips, so it doesn't get kicked up/tracked away as quickly. In fact, birds and rodents also like to dig. Much of the food they eat in their natural habitat can be found on the ground. This also stimulates natural behavior. When sand is used, the bird's eyes/airway can get affected, and beech chips can easily become moldy, which is also harmful to the bird.

Directions for use:

Fill the enclosure until the bottom is completely covered with Back Zoo Nature Discovery Bedding. The layer should be at least 5 cm, so that the ground cover covers the bottom of the enclosure and can absorb well.
