  Bird lamps remain UV-B potent for an entire year (within 40% of total output).
  This is based on using the proper controller and a maximum photoperiod of 12 hours per day. Health problems should always be reported to an appropriate veterinarian who has good access to the bird.
• Do not allow birds long exposure to bird lights at a distance closer than specified by the product.
• Humans should stay at least 12" away from the lamp.
• Lamps should be turned off before cage maintenance is performed.
• Bird lamps should not be sprayed directly with water.
• To ensure UV-B efficacy, replace bird lamps once a year.
