Nekton

Nekton is a family business founded in 1967. The founder Günter Enderle started with a zoological specialty store for bird breeders. In 1969, the company expanded to import/export activities, including a licensed quarantine station. Mr. Enderle mainly supplied birds to zoos and zoological dealers throughout Europe, but to a lesser extent also reptiles, amphibians and mammals.
Animal welfare must always come first. Long transports and stays in the quarantine station did not always make things easy. Supplements for animals and suitable bird food were still relatively unknown and rare on the market. Günter Enderle was an active breeder of birds and dogs and decided to create and test his own mixtures of vitamins, proteins, minerals and carotenoids, together with other breeders and with the help of experts.
